Other Employment Resources

You can always increase your chances by networking and attending a chapter meeting. When you do, bring copies of your résumé. During certain portions of the meeting, announce that you are seeking employment. Members whose companies are looking for employees frequently announce job openings at the same time.

Résumé Enhancement

What kind of response are you getting to your résumé? If the response is not as high as you might expect, you might want to consider Associate Fellow Brian McCaleb's presentations at OCSTC Chapter Meetings, along with a presentation by Carrie Damschroder:

Employment Services

The following Employment Agencies regularly submit jobs through the Orange County STC Web site. All agencies listed below are members of STC, and links to their sites will open a new browser window.

Other STC Chapter Employment Resources

LASTC has two resources that can assist you:

        http://lists.stc.org/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=lastcjobs-l
      • Click the button "Join lastcjobs-l"
      • In the form fields on the page, enter your email address and your name (for STC membership verification purposes)
      • Click the Save button
    • A Web page of job hunting resources
  • Silicon Valley Chapter
The format for their employment section is the same as ours, and you need not be a member of STC to access their list.
