Does speaking in public give you the heebie jeebies? Come learn about public speaking in the safe, supportive environment of an OCSTC meeting! Toastmaster champion Daniel Midson-Short will offer strategies and advice about how you too can become a confident, compelling public speaker.
Topics include:
- Daniel's journey to becoming a professional speaker
- Three important lessons being a speaker has taught him
- How to share compelling stories
- How to overcome stage fright and nerves
- At the end, there will be a little time for Q&A for anyone who has questions
About Daniel Midson-Short
Originally from Sydney, Australia, Daniel moved to Orange County California almost 10 years ago. Daniel has spoken to audiences in Australia, the US, UK, and Asia as a workshop trainer and keynote speaker.
He has competed three times in the World Championships of Public Speaking, placing in the Top 30 speakers worldwide in 2014, 2015, and 2017. He has also delivered two TEDx talks in 2016 and 2017.

OCSTC meetings follow the schedule below. We encourage all attendees to arrive by 6pm to do some informal networking (regardless of whether or not your ticket includes dinner). Bring business cards and a smile!

There is another DoubleTree hotel nearby, so it’s easy to accidentally go to the wrong location if you do a search for “DoubleTree” on your phone, instead of searching for the exact address!
The DoubleTree Club offers complimentary valet parking. If you prefer to self-park, tell the valet that you’re at the hotel for an OCSTC meeting, and ask if you can park yourself.
